How To Become Successful

It all starts with the free offer.

The first rule of selling taught by Grant Cardone's book, Sell or Be Sold, is "Give, Give, Give."

A small one-page infographic or ebook that highlights my ideal customer's pain point and puts them on the right path to their solution.

To get the ebook, they must exchange their email address with you.

Once you have their email, you can stay in contact with them to continue to help them with their problems by providing additional solutions that may solve them.

An ad by Dean Holland piqued my curiosity about how to begin affiliate marketing. I attempted it before with zero success. I didn't realize I was making a massive mistake by spamming links out there, telling people to check it out because I was doing it.

Why that technique sucks is it provides no value, and people inherently don't want to be sold. Also, I had no validation that it worked because I had no proof it worked for me.

It boiled down to the fact that I wasn't helping people solve a problem.

In the book Iceberg Effect, Dean speaks about lead magnets and how they can help people solve an initial problem and build trust with you to be the authority to solve all of their life's problems.

After reading it, I couldn't believe how simple the concept was.

Going back to Grant's first rule of selling: give, give, give. It made total sense.

All the ads I saw from there on out started to click. Everyone was giving something away for free just for an email address.

My first real mentor was Grant Cardone. I followed him for some time before finding Russell, who has taught me everything you have seen.

Before launching into high ticket affiliate marketing, I focused on learning sales to better my position in selling physical goods and insurance. I wasn't paying attention to how Grant acquired me as a customer.

It started with a free book on closing deals. In the fall of 2019, I was struggling with selling cancer insurance door to door. The sales system was sound. It taught me an excellent sales process. The problem was the number of closes available to make the sale.

I felt like a robot saying the same 3-4 things repeatedly, and it didn't feel genuine.

After buying the closing guide, Grant hit me with an ad for a mentorship program. It was a FREE web class that highlighted the benefit of a mentor to teach you the right things about money that traditional education fails to do.

I pulled out my wallet and bought the web course. Twelve weeks later, I was sitting on the floor at Growth Con 4, fist-bumping all of the guests as they walked to the stage and rubbing elbows with some of the most successful people in the nation.

I went through Grant's funnel to get to Growth Con.

If he is doing it and is a multimillionaire, I knew I could do it, and I know you can do it.

The barrier holding me back was the lack of knowledge of executing and executing it with the proper tools.

To figure out how Grant Cardone got me to growth con. I had to figure out how he was advertising and who taught him to advertise that way.

Enter Russell Brunson—the King of Sales Funnels.

It turns out that Russell met with Grant on Grant's jet, pitching him the concept of a sales funnel and how he would gain more customers and increase his sales.

The first pitch was a home run for Grant. Russell made a funnel for his 10X Rule book, and it became a New York Times bestseller.

One of the lessons taken from Growth Con was to emulate those who are successful around you. I knew I needed to do what Grant was doing. So when I started seeing Russell's ads for the one funnel away challenge, I stopped doing everything else and became obsessed with the sales funnel concept.

I realized that I could craft the best emails in the world. But it was worthless if I couldn't get eyes on my page or get emails.

I couldn't afford to fail at this.

I've burned all the boats and invested my last dime into my company to give my family the life they deserve and provide my two boys a legacy they can pass on for generations.

My Dent the Universe mission is to help people destined for more than punching a time clock and getting scolded by management.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

I'm curious to know what you think of my story so far.

Go ahead; I'm looking forward to hearing what you think.

Talk more in a couple of days.
